The client is a Melbourne based National Managed IT solutions provider. The client is looking for dynamic IT Support Champion. You must have plenty of personality, energy and know how to be focused but still have fun. Amongst all the fun you will also be expected to achieve high results. In this role you can expect to be stretched, challenged and pushed to develop into a true IT Support Champion.

Role & Experience:

  • Minimum few years of desktop experience in IT support. 
  • You must have Desktop support experience.
  • You must have proven ticket queue management experience
  • Experience with maintaining and supporting Windows & Apple based IT systems
  • An understanding of ticketing systems and support processes in an IT organisation.
  • An understanding of the ITIL framework
  • Certificate 3 or 4 in Information Technology (or TAFE equivalent) or Microsoft certifications
  • Basic Windows Server administration, networking or virtualisation technologies
  • Understanding of Voice PBX technologies  
  • Linux experience is handy but not essential
  • HTML coding & CSS is handy but not essential
  • Must have shown consistent employment history. This excludes candidates working in positions less than 2 years
  • A passion for quality customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management & team work skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • MCSE or MCSA will be considered as favourable but not essential.
  • Desire to learn and develop
  • Australian Driver’s License
  • Well Dressed & Good Hygiene
  • Have your own vehicle

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience in support/installation & configuration/maintenance to Windows based IT systems, laptops, mobile phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers and other general office equipment
  • Provide 1st level support for Microsoft based infrastructure 
  • Providing technical support and advice to our customers
  • Efficiently communicating with all customers and staff on projects and support requests
  • Face to face, remote and onsite troubleshooting and resolving incidents within agreed SLA’s
  • Creating, updating and maintaining user documentation
  • Contributing to the continual service improvement of our services

Skills:

  • Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2012 R2 & 2016
  • Windows XP, 7/8 & 10
  • MS Office 365 & 2010
  • Active Directory, Exchange Server 07,10 & 14 SQL Server 
  • Group policy including creation and management 
  • DNS, DCHP knowledge and troubleshooting 
  • Hyper-V & VMware vSphere Support and implementation 
  • DNS, DCHP knowledge and troubleshooting 
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Mobile Device Management
  • Apple and Android product troubleshooting
  • Network Virtualisation & Migrations (preferred)
