PowerCurve Collection Developer

Melbourne • Full-time (On-site)

About the job

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced PowerCurve Collections (PCC) Developer to support the build, configuration, and enhancement of our Collections and Recoveries decisioning platform.

This role is hands‑on and best suited for a developer with strong technical experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining PCC workflows, treatments, strategies, and integrations, rather than a high-level solution architect.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience implementing and configuring PCC or similar collections platforms (e.g., Tallyman), preferably across large financial institutions, with a proven capacity to translate business requirements into robust technical builds.

Key Responsibilities

PowerCurve Collections Development

  • Develop, configure, and implement PCC 2.x strategies, workflows, treatments, and rule sets.
  • Build and maintain collections configurations across product lines (e.g., Cards, Loans, DDA, SBL).
  • Translate detailed functional requirements into technical configuration within PCC.
  • Participate in iterative development cycles, testing, and refinements of PCC logic.

Technical Implementation & Integration

  • Support integration activities with upstream and downstream systems (e.g., API gateways, PSP, CTM, CAP, VisionPlus).
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure correct data flows and interface behaviour.
  • Perform issue triage, root cause analysis, debugging, and incident resolution within PCC.

System Enhancement & Optimisation

  • Contribute to the migration of legacy collection systems into PCC environments.
  • Build enhancements to support new products, workflows, payment arrangements, hardship processes, recoveries flows, and strategy changes.
  • Assist with end‑to‑end data and logic validation for deployments.

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Prepare technical configuration documentation, design references, and change logs.
  • Work closely with business analysts, test teams, and operations to validate development outputs.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

Skills & Experience Required

Technical Experience

  • Strong hands‑on experience as a PCC Developer configuring:
  • Collections workflows
  • Strategies and segmentation logic
  • Treatment paths
  • Scorecards and business rules
  • Payment or funds transfer flows
  • Experience with PCC 2.x (preferred).
  • Experience with collections development in similar platforms (e.g., Tallyman 3.7) is beneficial.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret system logs, SQL data outputs, and integration message formats.
  • Experience supporting E2E delivery of collections systems across multiple countries or portfolios is advantageous.

Professional Competencies

  • Strong problem‑solving and debugging capability.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality technical outputs.
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence).
  • Solid communication skills for explaining technical findings to non-technical teams.
