About The Role

Trideca is seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join a high performing team within the BFSI space.

As a Senior Android Developer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers and business analysts, to deliver innovative and scalable solutions within a fast-paced, Agile environment.

You will be responsible for;

• Building and contributing to the design of mobile banking platform
• Designing, developing, reviewing, implementing, and managing application code and services for the production and pre-release environments
• Participating in Agile software development, prototyping, and code review with international development teams to build mobile apps.
• Understanding the requirements of the customer or business and utilize this knowledge to develop applications that are consistent.
• Monitoring for and anticipating platform trends and upcoming critical changes.
• Monitoring client feedback for problems and proactively schedules resolutions where needed.
• Working with delivery teams to achieve success through development using CI/CD and DevOps practices, processes and tooling
• Providing robust coding practices and solid unit and component test coverage, and code debugging.
• Providing technical guidance and leadership to other development staff.

What We Are Looking For

• A strong passion for mobile development
• Android development experience, Kotlin and Java (6+ years)
• Experience with architectural patterns – Clean Architecture, MVVM, MVP, SMVP, MVC
• Extensive experience with open source libraries like RxJava, Dagger 2, Coroutines, and Android Jetpack (LiveData, Data Binding).
• Proven experience calling RESTful JSON services and integrating mobile apps with backend APIs.
• Solid understanding of unit testing, UI testing (Espresso), and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of the banking and finance industry, trends and threats (technology, products, regulatory environment)
• Experience working with CI/CD software development pipelines
• Experience working in Scrum and associated agile techniques
• Experience with using GIT for software version control
• Multi-threaded development and debugging experience
• Experienced across the full software delivery life cycle (planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance)
