As a Cybersecurity Specialist I provide guidance for securing information systems and sensitive data from cyber threats. I’ve worked in the Banking Industry and Retail sector, with complex and dynamic environments. In my role as a junior manager at Absa Bank, I worked closely with software developers and architects to help build security into Information systems and applications from the outset. I reviewed architecture designs and facilitated penetration testing by performing threat modelling and defining the test scope for security assurance purposes. I also performed third-party/vendor security reviews. I collaborated and worked closely with Governance, Risk, Compliance, Audit and Fraud partners to establish a holistic view of security.
