Candidate Name
I am a nursing student and junior front-end developer on a mission to digitise healthcare and improve accessibility, especially in under-resourced communities.
Working on the frontlines of healthcare, particularly in short-staffed and high-pressure environments, exposed me to the urgent need for smarter systems and scalable digital solutions. I saw firsthand how delays, inefficiencies, and limited access affect patient outcomes. That experience pushed me beyond the bedside and into technology.
To turn vision into action, I transitioned into software development and data science. I completed formal training through the SheCodes Foundation and continued expanding my technical foundation through programmes such as the Women Techsters Fellowship (Data Science & Engineering Track).
My healthcare background gives me a unique edge as a developer:
🔹 Triage → Debugging
Managing patient care in fast-paced environments strengthened my ability to prioritise critical issues calmly and systematically — the same mindset I use when debugging complex problems.
🔹 Empathy → UX Design
Advocating for patients taught me to always design with the end-user in mind. Accessibility, clarity, and usability are not optional — they are essential.
Currently, I am expanding my knowledge in data science, AI engineering, and low-code platforms like Mendix to build scalable and intelligent health-tech solutions.
I believe we may not solve the world’s problems today, but we can build tools that make healthcare more accessible, more efficient, and more human.
Let’s build solutions that matter.
