Hi, my name is Shanika Perera, and I am currently studying for my Master of Cyber Security at Deakin University in Geelong. I graduated as the top of my batch in my Bachelor of IT in Sri Lanka with a WGPA of 3.87/4.0, and at Deakin I have continued this track record with a current WAM of 86.125.

Before moving to Victoria, I worked as a Senior Security Engineer in Sri Lanka, where I gained hands-on industry experience and completed certifications including AWS SysOps Administrator Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), and HashiCorp Terraform Associate. I also completed an internship in Victoria, helping small businesses achieve ISO 27001 compliance and implement the Essential Eight framework.

Alongside my studies, I am a peer mentor at Deakin University, supporting new students with their academic and personal transition. I am passionate about cybersecurity, problem-solving, and helping others grow.
