I am currently the Head of the Department of Informatics at Bakrie University, Indonesia, where I lead efforts to advance academic excellence, innovative research, and industry collaboration. With over 25 years of global experience in higher education, I have contributed my expertise at prestigious institutions in the United Kingdom, Italy, and Australia.

I hold a Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Sydney, Australia (a Group of Eight institution), a postgraduate degree in Data Communication from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom (a Russell Group institution), a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication Engineering from Trisakti University, Indonesia, and a Professional Engineer degree from the University of Indonesia. I also possess professional certifications in Data Science, Big Data, and the Internet of Things from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Advanced Cybersecurity from Stanford University.

My global perspective has been enriched through Visiting Scholar appointments at leading institutions in the Netherlands, Norway, Germany, and the USA, where I engaged in cross-cultural academic collaborations and advanced research initiatives.

In the professional arena, I am a Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE) and currently serve as a member of the Industry Relations and Professional Activities Committee of the IEEE Indonesia Section. I also maintain memberships with ACM, IET, BCS, ACS, and the IEEE Standards Association. As a Founding Member of the Asia-Europe for Artificial Intelligence Network (AE4AI) launched in Shanghai, China, in 2023, I am actively involved in fostering international cooperation in AI research and applications.

Over the past 15 years, I have served as a reviewer for leading journals, including IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, and IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing.

I am privileged to have received numerous research grants and awards from institutions, such as Leeds Beckett University, Politecnico di Torino, the University of Pisa, UNESCO, DAAD, Philips Research Netherlands, and the Indonesian Government among others.
